Tech goes to 5-2 after defeating Madison 32-6


After a great win against Canarsie, Tech had their second win in a row against Madison. James Brown started the game with a kick to the 37 yard line. After three runs for a total of three yards, Madison punted to the 34. Denzel McLarty's first run was for 5 yards, and his following run was for 15 yards. Madison had two penalties. McLarty ran for another 15 yards, followed by a five yard run, and a 13 yard. On first and goal on the 2 yard line, McLarty got the first touchdown of the game and Tech led 6-0. The extra point was attempted by David Ritter but hit the left goal post and went wide left. Tarrance Taylor also had a touchdown in the first quarter.

James Brown kicked to the 42 yard line. On 3rd and 7, Madison was almost intercepted by Oyeleye Odewunmi, but ended up being incomplete. Madison faked the punt, but was unsuccessful at getting the first down, and Tech got the ball on the 47. Tarrance Taylor ran for 15 yards. Olawale Jegede ran for 15 yards. James Brown ran for no gain, and there was also a holding penalty on the play. After another 10 yard run, two plays later on the 20 yard line, it was 3rd and 7, and the pass was incomplete. Tech punted, on 3rd and 4, Tech stopped Madison, but they attempted fourth down, but was tackled for a loss of 11. That ended the first quarter.

Tech recovered on the 46. Taylor ran 12 yards, followed by a run for the touchdown. The two point conversion was made by McLarty and Tech led 14-0. Brown kicks to the 42 yard line, and James Madison took a timeout. A 20 yard run was called back because of holding. They made the first down, and on 2nd and 10, there was another flag, Tech tackled Madison for a loss of 7, which was followed by an incomplete pass. On 4th and inches, Tech went offsides. After a long run by Madison, a second run for 9 yards was called back on holding. Madison's quarterback ran for 5 yards, and followed by an incompletion, making it 4th and 9. Tech got the ball on the 45. Tarrance ran 20 yards ending the half.


In the second half, Tech recieved the ball and McLarty started off with two runs for 10 yards. McLarty has a 25 yard run. Hisham Dola threw for 10 yards to Tanber Zaman. Tech was on the 15 yard line, and after an incompletion McLarty ran for another ten yards. McLarty ran for the touchdown and the extra point was missed again a bit wide to the left.


Brown kicked off again, and the defense stopped Madison and forced them to punt to the 42. Jamere Lanier ran for 7 yards. The first down was made. Gino Nadela ran for 3 yards. After an incompletion, and a one yard gain, Taylor ran for eight yards which made Tech a yard short of the first down, but on fourth down, Tech ran 12 yards. The play ended the 3rd quarter.
