Tech players discuss upcoming Clinton Matchup

Tech Beats Grady 22-0

In the team’s second game, Tech played Grady High School. The game was the home opener. Although the first quarter had a few mistakes with 6 turnovers in 7 plays between the two teams, Tech came back in the 2^nd quarter with a touchdown by Babatunde Adeyemi with a pass from Kevi Shyti. Heru Bernard had the 2-point conversion. In the third quarter, James Gales had a touchdown and Stephen Harris had the 2-point conversion from a pass by Kevi Shyti. In the fourth quarter, James Gales had another touchdown, but the 2-point conversion was not completed.

Christopher Francis had 5 rushes for 25 yards. Gino Nadela had 4 carries for 35 yards. Heru Bernard had 4 rushes for 20 yards. James Gales had 3 carries for 33 yards. Raul Torres had 7 rushes for 88 yards. James Gales had 2 catches for 28 yards. Stephen Harris had 5 catches for 81 yards. Igor Grekov had 7 tackles, and 1 for a loss. Michael Plonski had 7 tackles and 1 for a loss. Rene Modeste had 3 tackles and a sack. Kevin Loh had 4 tackles, 1 for a loss, and a sack. Derek Norman had 4 tackles and recovered a fumble. Malik Alexander had two tackles and a fumble recovery. Raul Torres had 1 tackle and an interception.

The next game will be against DeWitt Clinton, who although has not one a game yet, has kept their two games close against two very tough teams. Tech really would like everyone to come out and support the team. The game is this Saturday at 12 PM, and is free to all faculty and students.

Tech Defeats JFK 20-6

After a 6-3 season, and making it to the 1st round of the playoffs, Tech started the new season Saturday with a night game against JFK in the Bronx. Although Tech had a great season last year, they knew they would still have to work hard to win.

Captains LB Michael Plonski, WR/S Mazaharul Islam, OLB/TE Igor Grekov really helped Tech with their win. Plonski had 5 tackles and a fumble recovery. Islam had 3 receptions for 50 yards, 1 interception, a 2 point conversion and 4 tackles. Grekov had a fumble recovery and 13 tackles. Game captain Derek Norman had 5 tackles also. Sophomore James Gales had 2 receptions for 40 yards and 1 rush for 18 yards, and a touchdown. Babatunde Adeyemi had 2 catches for 39 yards. Christopher Francis had a 2 yard run for a touchdown. Heru Bernard also had a touchdown.

This Sunday at 11 AM, Tech plays their first home game against Grady. We really need your support at the next game to become 2-0. The game is free, and we hope to see you all there.
